South Africa - Thaba Ingwe game farm (Day 3)

Red Hartebeest - This one ruined my perfect record. I was 4 for 4 with all dropping within 30 yards. My first shot was at 8:00. He was almost facing directly at me at 130 yards. I missed about one inch to the left and it double shot his abdomen and then hit his left femoral artery. In the end the artery shot was what did him in. We tracked this boy for the next three hours. I plugged him two more times from about 150 yards. He just walked away. He was one tough sucker. A half hour later we caught up to him under a tree. Only his neck was exposed. I hit him two more times in the neck from 100 yards before he finally gave up the ghost. Wow, the first four animals made this look easy. This boy was not easy. I did get a nice four hour walk/run out of him.

The professional hunter that was with me said that this one is some sort of record and will update me with the scoring results.
