4 Birds (2 Roosters & 2 Hens)
Topaz was great and we sucked. We saw eleven of the twelve that we had put out. Two got up without us really having much of a shot. Topaz jumped one on the edge of some timber and it ran through to the far side and then flushed. We had another that flushed while Topaz was going on a retrieve. Three were lost due to some really bad shooting. I can only assume that the two birds we saw crossing HWY D, before we even got to the club house, were ours too. If those weren't ours than I have no idea where those suckers were.
We had a light dusting of two day old snow and it was in the mid 30s. I like this kind of weather for hunting. The west marsh was a little beat down from all the snow this year. The cover we did have had the birds holding tight.
We need to count one yesterday bird to get our four...
